Highly Strung are a five piece live band, based in Carlisle, Cumbria.
Founding members Andy Whitaker and Dave Mason both strive to stay at the top of the scene. They have performed at so many weddings over the years (averaging 40 a year) and always receive an amazing response. They have also performed at various festivals, supporting Little Mix and Dr & The Medics.
We have contracted Highly Strung for our Christmas party night functions for the last couple of years and cannot recommend the band highly enough. Dealing with the band is always a pleasure, communication is always easy and set up at the venue is organised professionally and on time. The stage set looks fantastic with the high quality equipment and lights which the band use, they really look “the part”.
The feedback from our guests from the Christmas party night functions is superb, the crowd love Highly Strung! From the minute the band starts after the dinner is finished the dance floor is full all night. The quality and range of the songs which the band play is excellent, they really know how to play to the audience which most sometimes be tricky with there being such a mix of different age groups and professions in the same room – Highly Strung never fail!
We would certainly recommend Highly Strung for any occasion, whether it’s a wedding, birthday, corporate event or festive party night, they tick all the boxes you need from a live band. Rat Pack and solo swing nights are also available, which are a sure hit with the ladies!
Thank you Highly Strung, we look forward to working with you for many more years to come.
